Designing Jose Cuervo’s DTC Web Experience
As the world’s largest and oldest Tequila maker, Jose Cuervo has it’s share of ‘firsts’. In 2023, Cuervo added to that list by transforming their digital flagship with a focus on direct-to-consumer sales for the first time in their 200 year history.
We started by rebuilding cuervo’s web experience from the ground up. This wasn't just a digital brochure; it's a full-fledged direct-to-consumer storefront, the first in Cuervo's history. A simplified user journey was key in helping consumers navigate the product portfolio, learn more about the brand and discover their next favorite tequila. A custom tequila-quiz, branded product pages and a best-in-class ecomm experience drove existing and new consumers towards consideration and purchase.
With a modular and expandable design methodology, the team was able to create an experience that’s endlessly flexible and effortlessly adapts to product launches, brand initiatives and seasonal campaigns while staying true to the brand’s heritage. This thinking extended into the brand’s CRM channels as well; utilizing the brands active subscriber list to regularly drive consumers back to the site.
The result? A website that's not just a sales vehicle, but a best-in-class tequila experience.
